In a study done by Douglas Raybeck, Ph.D., a professor of anthropology at Hamilton
College in New York, he found out that the common denominator or personal ads
posters create "meta-statements" about themselves. These meta-statements are not
used to create a make believe persona but as a human nature to highlight out best
traits. The limitation of the personal ad\'s allowed text on description is one of
the reasons to be inclined in mentioning the individual\'s best qualities.

Singles, dating, adult, casual, etc. These sites break free from conservative
idealism and gave a common ground for those interested on meeting people online and
even eased the process by allotting a venue for specific type of personal ads.

Cliché as it may sound but the Internet surely made everyone closer on this lonely
planet. Ironically, though technological advancements have opened ease in
communication, it also eased how people realize that they are alone. With more
people owning mobile phones and having email accounts, it\'s easier to realize that

lonely", you\'ll be surprised to see 8 million search results. Looking closer on
these web results, you can see that most are blog entries, forum or classified ads
postings of people who wants to talk to someone on cyberspace.


Millions of personal ads are drifting on various sites, and thousands more are
posted each day. They might be misleading, but one thing is for sure, they\'re never
hopeless.
